So I basically just stick it in like this?
title Arch Linux root (hd0,2) kernel /boot/vmlinuz26 root=/dev/sda3 ro vga=773 logo.nologo initrd /boot/kernel26.img
And a few minutes later:
It worked. Thanks everyone.

no need to look up the internet
simply
cd /usr/src/$(uname -r)/Documentation/
and you have local and up to date version of kernel-parameters.txt
Yeah, I realised it was part of the kernel docs once I saw the first link. I looked in that location as well as sending find through / to look for kernel-parameters.txt but it isn't on my system. I don't have a Documentation folder at all and thought it must have been because of the old Arch-strips-docs-rule, but you are saying you have it on your arch machine? What package that should be creating that folder, the kernel?

yes, this is/should be in the kernel folder, however, because you do not have full sources installed, most of the stuff is missing there, I forgot that by default Arch do not install full kernel sources.

Don't worry about breaking arch. I have broken many things and I am still on my first install. Sometimes I think I cannot fix it, but I can ![]()
