Wine and Neatimage

I do all my digicam image management in Linux. Sometimes I need the neatimage tool to get rid of some noise. It should run under wine as it does in gentoo, but I get this from the console:

laptop ~]$ wine .wine/drive_c/Program Files/Neat Image/NeatImage.exe
fixme:ntdll:TIME_GetTZAsStr Can't match system time zone name "CET" to an entry in TZ_INFO
fixme:ntdll:TIME_GetTZAsStr Please add appropriate entry to TZ_INFO and submit as patch to wine-patches

This happens on both systems where I run arch independently

Re: Wine and Neatimage

Can't you do manipulations like that in the GIMP?

I am affraid not. Neatimage is pretty brilliant. Believe me, I have searched for similar gimp tools. Gaussian selective blur is the closest I get , but nowhere near as refined as Neatimage.

Some things from the windows world are not yet replaceble, like excel for example, when you want to make a lot of graphs....:-( (oo.org sucks with graphs and macros)

Re: Wine and Neatimage

But nobody tried this and got it to work?

Anyone with a noisy picture from his/her digikam now and then should try neatimage one time...

Re: Wine and Neatimage

Oh and the news is that after the latest upate of wine, it now runs under kernel 2.6.9, which was the issue that caused the above error.

Nevertheless neatimage now gives the following message when trying to start it.: (Mind you ,it does run well in gentoo)

Assertion fialed: !"bogus context in _Exceptionhandler()", file xx.cpp, line 3072

In a popup screen (not the console)
