How can I delete the "My Documents" directory shortcut that's default on LXDE's desktop? There's no .desktop file in my Desktop directory to delete for it.
Also, In lxappearance I only have one gtk theme to choose from and no way of installing others. I love LXDE, but I'm getting tired of everything being gray. There is an option to install icon themes, but not for installing gtk themes. Do regular gtk themes from gnome-look work on lxde? I'm not even sure where to get more, but in LXDE's sorry excuse for a wiki they have a screenshots that show a lot of themes to choose from in lxappearance. For LXDE being so great and fast, I wish they had more than a couple of sentences per entry for their wiki.

Their wiki may not be the best, but have you tried the forums?

Well I posted on the first thread, so maybe they'll explain how to install themes. I still can't figure out how to delete the home icon from my desktop.

IIRC you can't move the icons, so maybe you can't delete them either?

Well you can delete the ones that are there via .desktop files, but there's no .desktop file for this shortcut.

So maybe this is a special case when you need to toggle some settings that say "Show 'home' icon on the desktop". This was the case in WinXP when My Documents, Thrash and My Computer were treated that way. I have no idea where is that switch that needs to be flipped (LXpanel -> Preferences?).
Do you use openbox? http://wiki.lxde.org/en/Image:Obconf-screenshot.png

There is no way to delete the "My Documents" icon from the desktop.
That icon is drawn by pcmanfm's desktop managment. The only way to remove it is to comment out the code from pcmanfm's source which draws the icon to the screen and recompile it.
Strangely, when I did that, there were some issues with pcmanfm's desktop right click menu (it was a long time ago so I don't remember exacly, I think pcmanfm froze when I tried to use the pcmanfm rightclick menu - if I used default openbox menu, it worked fine and the rest of the icons would work normally).
