Hi.
Last night I have performed a system update (from /var/log/pacman.log):
[12/09/04 23:22] synchronizing package lists
[12/09/04 23:23] starting full system upgrade
[12/10/04 00:22] upgraded gift (0.11.7-2 -> 0.11.8.1-1)
[12/10/04 00:22] upgraded gift-openft (0.2.1.4-1 -> 0.2.1.5-1)
[12/10/04 00:22] upgraded glibc (2.3.3-2 -> 2.3.4-1)
[12/10/04 00:23] upgraded perl (5.8.5-2 -> 5.8.6-1)
The update was the only thing that I have changed to the system.
This is what I get when trying to run an irssi script:
20:41:26 -!- Irssi: Error in script xauth:
20:41:26 Perl lib version (v5.8.6) doesn't match executable version (v5.8.5) at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i686-linux-thread-multi/Config.pm line 32.
20:41:26 Compilation failed in require at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i686-linux-thread-multi/lib.pm line 6.
20:41:26 BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i686-linux-thread-multi/lib.pm line 6.
20:41:26 Compilation failed in require at (eval 10) line 1.
20:41:26 BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 10) line 1.
What could possibly go wrong with the update and how can it be fixed?

if you really need irssi asap before it is recompiled you can use abs to rebuild it.
