pinnacle pctv stereo card

Hey!

I don't really know even where to start to get my tv card up and running. There's no wiki for it (that I found) and found nothing helpful with google either. I have a card with the SAA7134 chipset (according to lspci anyway).

Re: pinnacle pctv stereo card

try xawtv. check in /dev/v4l/ for video0, video1, etc then use

xawtv -c /dev/v4l/video0

change video0 to the correct device of course.
enjoy  wink

Re: pinnacle pctv stereo card

well, first you'll need to load the correct modules - the best place to start looking is the kernel documentation, specifically
/usr/src/linux-*/Documentation/video4linux/README.saa7134

I have a bttv-based card and all I need to do to fire it up is
modprobe bttv card=120
modprobe tuner type=5
or something close...then just start up whichever software you're using as enderst says.[/code]

Re: pinnacle pctv stereo card

i put bttv in /etc/rc.conf. when it loads, the card is auto detected.

But my card uses the saa7134 driver, not bttv!?
