No,i launch the whole kde environment
i tried with a new user,and everything was ok.
Then i removed every config file in my home that was created also in the new user's home.
But i have the same prob
I think there is some other file that creates problems,I'll try renaming almost every config file until i find something.

Out of curriosity... shouldn't "/opt/kde/share/config/kdm/kdmrc" have been in the backup=(...) list? Isn't it backwards compatible?
[it seems I have to modify KDM settings on each install, and /opt/kde/share/config/kdm/Xservers too, because I start all X sessions with "-dpi 96" as parameters // this last file is a personal hack, it might not require addition to the backup=(..) line]

backup=('/opt/kde/share/config/kdm/kdmrc' '/opt/kde/share/config/kdm/backgroundrc'
'/opt/kde/share/config/kdm/Xservers' '/opt/kde/share/config/kdm/Xaccess'
'/opt/kde/share/config/kdm/Xresources' '/opt/kde/share/apps/kdm/faces/.default.face.icon')
is in the PKGBUILD does it not work?

I just upgraded to KDE 3.3.2. There is still that path problem (for people using tcsh as default shell). Adding
[ -f /etc/profile ] && . /etc/profile
to Xsession solve the problem. I posted that bug a while ago but it was closed (fixed). :? I don't know if it's a problem on my side . I can always put Xsession in pacman.conf's NoUpgrade option.
Keep up the good work !

I saw the news but I took me some time to download the >200 MB of files on my 56k modem. Plus, I was having problem with my connection.
i will look at it till the weekend
No problem. Take your time.

can you mail me the changed file
would be nice then i can run a diff over it and inlcude it again
kdelibs and kdebase need a rebuild because of a security hole so it can be easily included till the weekend when i'm again on dsl for uploading the new corrected packages
