alsa changing to udev?

After the last update I did to alsa, its looking for an 'audio' group, which was previoiusly running fine on my computer as 'sound'. Now I can't get c*** to work audiowise. Does this mean I need to switch to udev, or is there an easy fix? I created an audio group and I'm working on it right now, I don't really want to have it hacked though if I can help it.

All you have to do is add yourself to the audio group.  Feel free to remove the sound group, it won't be used anymore.
