Hi.
I just installed awesome3, as it is in the wiki, but when I try to 'startx', there is the following error:
awesome: symbol lookup error: awesome: undefined symbol sn_xcb_display_new.
I saw a topic about that in the bugs report, but I did not find how to solve the problem.
Can someone help me.
Regards.

Can I see your xinitrc? Cause it seems that awesome can't open the screen.
urxvtc / wmii / zsh / configs / onebluecat.net

Here it is. I am using fluxbox from many years now, and I have it in the xinitrc. I am commenting and uncommenting awesome or fluxbox to switch them.
##
# Start window manager
##
#exec startfluxbox
exec awesome

I'm stumped. Sorry, but I've just run out of ideas.

What about 'pacman -Rd awesome && pacman -Scc' and then 'pacman -S awesome'?

What is the difference between:
pacman -S awesome
and adding that repository:
[awesome]
Server = http://www.camazotz.de/awesome/
and doing:
pacman -S awesome3 wicked-awesome3
I did the second one, because I wanted to install wicked.
I followed the wiki.
Shoud I install awesome only, or I can install wesome3 only. Both packages are in conflict.
I am asking because MazurMe wrote 'pacman -S awesome', and I used 'pacman -S awesome3 wicked-awesome3'. Maybe here is the problem?

Are you running a 64bit System? Because I think that the packages from http://www.camazotz.de/awesome/ are 32bit only. Maybe thats the problem? Just an idea...

No, my system is 32 bit
I think that I will wait for the next version

Just pacman -S awesome.
If you want wicked, install it from AUR:
yaourt -S wicked-git
