[solved] Amarok won't play sound using OSS sound driver

I switched to OSS sound driver, because a game of mine that I tried to run with wine produced errors with alsa. However, now, having OSS installed (osstest works fine), Amarok will not play sound anymore. The progress bar of Amarok walks its way and after a song is finished the osd pops up and informs me what's played now...
Does anyone know how to get Amarok to work with OSS sound drivers??

The only apps that support OSS now are projects that are not maintained anymore as alsa is now the default sound. Dont work backwards, but forwards.

There are plenty of people who far prefer current oss over alsa, but that's not the op's question.  Are you using xine as an engine for amarok?  Is it set to oss?

I solved the issue by using Exaile instead of Amarok, where i could switch to OSS easily. Thanks for your concern though!
