If I use scrot to take a screenshot, I get the error
giblib error: Saving to file filename failed
Some googling turned up this, an older problem in which the solution was to compile against an older version of imlib2.
I haven't seen reference to this problem on the forum or bugtracker, is anyone else having this problem?

Hi,
If I try to save to a directory instead of a filename I'm getting this error:
scrot /home/usr_dir/Screenshots
giblib error: Saving to file /home/usr_dir/Screenshots failed
Suggestion to work around: use the -e paramater
scrot -e 'mv $f /home/usr_dir/Screenshots
scrot -help
Usage : scrot [OPTIONS]... [FILE]
Where FILE is the target file for the screenshot.
If FILE is not specified, a date-stamped file will be dropped in the current directory.
-e, --exec APP run APP on the resulting screenshot
$f image path/filename (ignored when used in the filename)

Thanks for explaining the error and providing a workaround freely, the thread will be closed now to avoid new bumping.
