Re: Option Icon225

Hi!

Kernel 2.6.29 and above support this device. First install ozerocdoff, than restart udev. If networkmanager is installed, use the networkmanager-applet after you've plugged in the modem. Select manage connections, mobile broadband, and add a connection. If the modem is recognised, select gsm connection, add your isp's apn and a dummy login/password. You can select here the automatic connection, if you plug in your modem, it connects automatically, and system-wide connection, which means that it won't disconnect if you logout. Press ok, and left click on the applet icon, and click on the gsm connection. If everything goes well, you are connected.

Re: Option Icon225

I forgot to tell you that networkmanager 0.7.1 won't recognise the modem because of hal issues (the developer uses fedora, and this distro has hal-compat package with older libs, which arch hasn't). Use either hsoconnect or compile an older version of nm, 0.7.0.100 is fine.
