IrDA port

Hi, I am a little bit confused, I am trying to get to work my IrDa port on my Dell Latitude. Every howto is just about receivers for IR remote control. That's not exactly what I want. I want to be able to transfer files over IrDa to phones and devices like that and to be able to connect to the Internet using phone's GPRS, EDGE or WCDMA connection. I know bluetooth is a possibility, but I have sometimes a problem with devices without bluetooth. Can you, please, point me to the right howto, or just give me some piece of information? Thank you

Re: IrDA port

I have finally got it to work. In case anyone needs it: I have followed this http://www.kcore.org/?menumain=4&menusub=2 - the IrDa section and then I have compiled ircp-tray from AUR and it gave me exactly what I wanted. Yeah, and I had to make small script, which is executed at every start to load everything properly...

Thanks anyway
