Keyboard unresponsive for ~10 seconds after reaching console login
My laptop keyboard stops responding to anything once I leave grub and continues not to respond until 10 or so seconds have passed just sitting at the console login. By digging around in /sys, I've found that the keyboard is an "AT Translated Set 2 keyboard" on an "i8042 KBD port" using the builtin "atkbd" driver.
I really have no idea what the problem is...:/

And I just realized, caps/num/scroll lock and the touchpad switch lights don't respond during that time either, so I don't believe it's a problem with agetty.
