I don't know if this is the right forum, but I didn't find a better one.

I'd like to suggest to move from oprofile version 0.9.3 to version 0.9.4. Looking  in its changeloghttp://oprofile.sourceforge.net/release … file-0.9.4 there are some bug fixes that, at least for me, are a must have. This one is the main one:

Fix opcontrol's calculation of kernel address range to include code found
in sections other than just .text

I saw that the package maintainer is aaron, but I didn't find a way to contact him directly. IMO it would be good if there was a package-specific discussion like there's in AUR...

I don't think so...

Do NOT report bugs when a package is just outdated, or it is in Unsupported. Use the 'flag out of date' link on the package page, or the Mailing List.

REPEAT: Do NOT report bugs for outdated packages!
