kernel26rt will not boot

I installed kernel26rt from the AUR, but it will not boot.

I copied the Grub entry from my working kernel26 entry, but the init drops to ramfs at boot and cannot find my root partition.
My rootfs is the disk part's UUID, so I changed it to /dev/sdb1.  That didn't work either.   Is there hook I forgot in mkinitcpio?  I'm using ext4 and x86_64.

Looks like ext4 was added to the image.

"zcat /boot/kernel26rt.img| cpio -iv --no-absolute-filenames"
cpio: lib/modules/2.6.29-rt/kernel/fs/ext4/ext4.ko

Re: kernel26rt will not boot

If you're looking for RT, I'd suggest going with kernel26-ice. I contributed the x86_64 config for that, and am running it (with the RT patch instead of the ice patch) on my laptop day in day out. iceman81, who actually maintains the kernel, is VERY responsive, expect 2.6.30 sometime soon on that one.

Check out http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=62641 for kernel26-ice, and to ask if you have any problems. If you really must stay up-to-date with the latest rt, http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=71419 will have a post if there's an update to RT that doesn't affect the version of kernel26-ice.
