Hi
Can someone explain why pacman asks to upgrade only some packages from testing? I have IgnoreGroup = testing in pacman.conf but that seems to be ignored. Is there any testing group anyway?
Testing is also after all other repositories in pacman.conf. Is that important?
And a second thing that bothers me all the time is that pacman doesn't recognizes updates from kdemod-testing. I always have to manually reinstall packages. Or is that supposed to be a feature.
Thanks
David

[testing] should only ever come at the top of the repo list and there is no group "testing" so that does nothing...

Ok, I will try that. Thanks. But I wanted to install only selected packages and not use testing generally. I guess, that's not possible then.

It is not recommended to try installing just selected packages from [testing] unless you really know what you are doing. You can end up with all sorts of dependency issues.

If you're so inclined however, you can put [testing] as the last repo in pacman.conf and use "pacman -S testing/package_name" to install select packages from [testing].
