radeonhd XPS studio 1640 frozen X hal is running

I have hal running and evdev keyboard and mouse installed and xf86 radeonhd installed i have no xorg.conf and i am getting a frozen X in kde with no keyboard or mouse.
Yes HAL is running
Could anyone using the same laptop post their xorg.conf?
