problem with xzgv

hallo i just joined the forum and this is my first post. So please guide me if i have made any mistakes.

the current xzgv package crashes when i open it via terminal. so i manually downloaded the latest version 0.9.1 and manually compiled it and it no longer crashes.

i have reported it to upstream. http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=de … tid=984206

i have also flagged the package as out -of date. http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/xzgv/

however i am confused -as if i do "pacman -Qi xzgv" i can see the packager but in the previous link it is stated that the package is orphaned.

i have also filed a bug. http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/15199

so have i missed anything i.e i mean do i email the packager directly ?

please offer your advice.

btw: what is the mailing list for archlinux ? i can't seem to find it
