Wow thats pretty. Is it from your new Aspire One?
Also, would you care to share your .Xdefaults?

XFCE. I keep coming back to it, because GNOME uses too much vertical screen space for my liking, and KDE... well... I think I outgrew it.
How do you make the lines in a terminal go around like in anrxc's screen:
http://www.bljak.org/~anrxc/images/gnushot.jpg
and is it possible to make the lines span the entire output of the program?

with .zshrc or .bashrc config depends what you use.

i've finally found something to tear me away from openbox -- xmonad. bit of a learning curve on the config, but it's got really sane defaults and the walk-through on their site got me comfortable in only a few minutes.
mmm, tiling.

Yes, Xmonad is great. I find myself always coming back to Openbox and Xmonad!

OS: Ubuntu 9.04
WM: OpenBox 3
OpenBox theme: Marina
GTK 2 theme: MatteGlass
Icon theme: Chromo-Erectus
Wallpaper: Surface Tension by OlisStudio
Picture: Rock'N'Roll, baby by gre3g
OpenBox standalone, now with GNOME Global Menu. Conky is closed inside autohiding bottom panel with Swallow Applet, only top panel with Global Menu is always visible.
I like this setup so far. Good for my eyes.

There is a tiling module -- was kinda buggy last time I tried it though (of course, things change often in the svn, it might be better by now)

Where did you get the layout icons? I've been looking all over for them and I can't seem to find them...

I've also been looking for layout icons different from the default ones.

They're anrxc's. Link to his configs/files is somewhere in this thread.

I was inspired by zsnes earlier today and worked through the night making an openbox and gtk theme resembling its interface. I decided it didn't look half bad and so I'm using it.

The icons are rodent, the wallpaper is from box-look. Using cure for gtk font, lime for terminals, and mints-mild for windows.
Ah, yes, and running xfce4-panel up in the top.
