Problem with pacman updating (solved)

Just tried to do pacman -Syu and it bombed.  It is trying to update virtualbox-modules and says it required kernel 2.26-30 to do the update and stops.  I fixed it not to update virtualbox-modules and then it hung on updating ed.

Is it safe to update to the new kernel at this time and then update the rest of pacman or should I just wait until the changes catch up with the updates.  I am running from the archiso-live cd install but I would assume that this would be the same with any arch update.:/:(

I am asking because I am really new to running ay form of Arch.  I love it for the responsiveness and i love the concept of it but I am not totally comfortable with it at this point in time.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Much appreciated.  I missed that one when I looked at what had been posted before.  Thank you. big_smile
