You know pacman? Well, pacman (the package manager) can search packages.
Try "pacman -Ss flash" and you will find the package "flashplugin", wasn't that hard, was it?

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

If it's already installed your problem seems solved, but I'll mention it anyway... the -s (lower case s) flag tells pacman to search for a pattern in package names and descriptions. If you want to install it you should leave that off and use the full name of the package, e.g. "pacman -S flashplugin".
Btw, you don't need Java to view YouTube videos.

Minds are like parachutes. They only function when they are open.

He doesn't need the mplayer plugin to go to YouTube. YouTube uses Flash.
OP, did you relogin after installing the Flash plugin?

The OP said youtube and there is no need whatsoever to use mplayer there.
Check the configs in firefox, make sure you didn't disable javascript or that you don't have any addon to block javascript (like noscript).

The error said flash and javascript.
Since you're using Shaman, search for flashplugin and make sure the box to the left of the selection is green.
Next search for jre,,, that's java runtime environment and make sure it's green also.
Next, I'll assume you're using Firefox since you're a fresh windoze convert.
At the top of an open Firefox browser go to edit/preferences, content tab and make sure "enable java script" is ticked and remove the tick from "block pop-up windows", then close the window, restart your browser.
The above should have youtube working for you.
You can also pacman -Qs and you will get a list of already installed packages to your system.
Pacman -Qs flashplugin will tell you if flashplugin is installed to your system so you don't have to scan a list that would stretch to the floor if it were on paper.
The same for pacman -Qs jre.
Pacman is simple to operate and is recommended over Shaman.

Shaman has been reliable for me as a search aid as it's visual in case I don't know how something may be named in the repositories, but I do all of my installing and "uninstalling" /removing with pacman.
