.conf files missing after Kernel upgrade

So I upgraded to kernel version 2.6.30 today, only to boot and recieve a ton of error messages saying my .conf files are missing.  I have no idea where they went or how to get them back.  Anyone have suggestions as to how I can recover my machine?

Re: .conf files missing after Kernel upgrade

Ok, I renamed everything to .conf in /etc/modprobe.d, however KDM still does not start.  Whats wrong here?

Re: .conf files missing after Kernel upgrade

There is no connection between those two issues. Start a new thread about your KDM problem.

BTW, you didn't just "upgrade to kernel version 2.6.30" - at the very least, you also upgraded module-init-tools, hence your modprobe issue. Your pacman log will tell you which other packages, if any, were upgraded.
