Hi!
I tried to install the Sun Presenter Console on my go-oo and receive this:
(com.sun.uno.RuntimeException) { { Message = "URP-Bridge: disposed(tid=10) No typedescription can be retrieved for type com.sun.star.bridge.XProtocolProperties", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @0 } }
Anyone else noticed this problem or even solved it?
I'm on x86_64

Yes, its iritating and has been going on for a while. I'm still using OO (not go-oo) 3.0.1 cos of other issues though. Just remember icu must be at 4.0.x for that.
The Arch go-oo package is 'at fault', in a sense, cos that doesn't happen in Ubuntu AFAICR. I took a look but couldn't figure out offhand what was going on, and had to get to other stuff.
But yes, its happening with all of us I believe.

Another thread similar to your problem is here. The only thing that is different between the 3.1.0-1 and 3.1.0-2 packages is the version of icu that is required. If you downgrade to Oo.o 3.1.0-1 and icu 4.0.x, you should be able to get rid of that error.

I don't think icu is to blame, sun presenter console is not the only extension having that problem, in fact, all java based extensions have this problem, I think rebuilding go-openoffice with jdk instead of openjdk might fix it. I was tryin to test this to report to Andreas Radke, but the package didn't build for me, and I am not feeling like compiling go-oo again. Can anyone try this and report back?

I was receiving the exact same error message when trying to use oo.o 3.1.0-2 with Bibus, which is a Python-based bibliography manager, and does not use Java at all. Would not work at all with 3.1.0-2 (showed the error message listed in first post), but worked perfectly with 3.1.0-1. There were only three changes between openoffice-base 3.1.0-1 and 3.1.0-2: rebuild for icu 4.2, and a gcc and glibc fix. Thus, it leads me to believe that the problem is not in java, but rather in icu. If both Go-oo 3.1.0-1 and openoffice-base 3.1.0-2 are showing this error and require icu 4.2, and openoffice-base 3.1.0-1 (which requires icu 4.0-2) does not show this error, why would icu not be to blame?
