Hi, after an upgrade to kernel 2.6.30 the volume of my audiochip went dramatically down. I have to turn up my speakers and the master volume of alsamixer entirely to hear anything.

i found out that now i have another mixer at the end, named Speaker and i have to maximize the level

You are right, there is now a mixer which is called "via dxs". Thank you, problem solved.

Ah, that did the trick, I was just wondering ... :-) the volume of that mixer was turned all the way down in alsamixer.

I have actually 4 VIA DXS Mixers :-/
However, that solved the problem, thanks
BTW:
Anyone knows why theres another Mixer. I mean, I now have Master, PCM, VIA DXS (and software) for steering the volume... That's too much :-/
