Mouse and Synaptic Boot/Resume problems

Hey there!

Since my reinstall of Arch x86_64, my usb mouse isn't automatically connected on boot (red light doesn't even light up). In 32 bits installation it worked fine. I'm using HAL w/ hotplugging. Oh and I forgot to add that if I disconnect and reconnect it, it starts working again. It's just annoying to have to do that everytime.

Additionally, I'd like to know a way to activate/deactivate the synaptics touchpad on boot/resume depending on the mouse's presence. I've followed some article on the wiki that implemented this function but on mouse connection and disconnection. I'm at loss as to what I'll have to edit to recreate such behaviour on boot.

Thanks in advance wink

Re: Mouse and Synaptic Boot/Resume problems

Okay I've just noticed that if I click on the mouse it comes back to life so I guess that's just because of the usb-autosuspend. However, this suspend delay seems to be pretty low. Any way of changing that?

And the synaptics problem remains. It seems to come back momentarily after resume but even if no mouse is present, it is turned off hmm
