installing both KDE and Gnome

I'd like to install both KDE and Gnome so I can better evaluate KDE and see if I'm ready to switch from Gnome to it or not and am wondering if there are any potentially problems having both installed on the same / partition.

Re: installing both KDE and Gnome

there is no problem having both DE installed. you can have it all and nothing will happen.
the only thing that is annoying is that you have in the menus applications from kde and gnome all together.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: installing both KDE and Gnome

There's a fix to unclutter GNOME's menu. See this package in the AUR.

As for KDE I don't really know.

Hope it helps.
