[REQUEST] - kde-qt

Being a kde user, and using archlinux/kde 4.3 from kde-unstable repository, after having some problems with plasma crashes, i decided to create a qt-copy package from aur.

After googling in order to be deeper informed about qt-copy, i read the README from qt-copy subversion repository and the kde developers mention :

It is recommended to use kde-qt.git instead of qt-copy. Right now both are possible,
but please transition at some point so that we can get rid of qt-copy later.
Also, adding new patches in qt-copy now requires using kde-qt.git anyway.

So as it seems, kde-qt project is the new patched qt from the kde team.

Is it the creation of a PKGBUILD for kde-qt possible?? I believe that a lot of the archlinux kde users would be interested in a package as that.

I hope you are using testing with kde-unstable. You'll find kde-qt there. The PKGBUILD can be loaded via abs or have a look at http://repos.archlinux.org/viewvc.cgi/q … iew=markup

But I don't think it will solve any of your problems.

I am already using the qt package from testing and i did not know that the kde-qt patches were already applied.

as far as i know kde-unstable is located in every mirror. It's  kde 4.3 rc and it will be the first official modular kde of archlinux.
