I upgraded whole system and installed intel drivers (i have old Graphic card, 855 series i guess).
After reebot, higher resolution was present (so i think, that drivers are working fine - and this is upgrade fault).
Then, after usual booting stuff, whole screen goes black, with "_" mark in left-upper corner.
What can i do?

How about booting a live CD and checking the logs?

why there is file called kernel26.img in /boot/ ? i mean, why its not 2.6.28 or 2.6.30 ?
Offline
modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.29-ARCH/modules.dep: No such file or directory - this is error from yesterdat, after update.
Today, after i launched system - this error didn't occured.

Because in this way everytime you upgrade the kernel you don't have to change your menu.lst manually.

Make it clear for me - kernel is in the /boot/, and it loads modules from /lib/modules?
How does it know, which modules to load (i got both, 2.6.29 and 2.9.30
And how do i know which version of kernel i have, when it's name is just 26?
And i think that my problem isn't the same as in topic that link you gave, because my system dont try to load modules from 2.6.29 after boot (he tried yestertad, before "boot after update")

chroot in and run "uname -a" to check the kernel version
