Re: A new lightweight music manager

Well, bad english me too. But we're in lucky, we have the PhotonX to save us. XD

Don't be too optimistic, my English is school English. big_smile Enough to post on forums or translate apps when having the possibility to look up some needed words but absolutely not enough to _communicate_. smile

Another small thing: The starter in the Gnome main menu has no icon (wrong link to the consonance.png I suppose).

Re: A new lightweight music manager

Lyceuhns

I do not want to change the name until the program really is different from the original one... Now, it is seen very different, but except some cases at heart it is exactly the same application..

I look for people who help to develop me, so that there are parts of consonance, in that now I cannot advance much...:/

In any case that is a decision of all.. We will see.. hmm Soon.. wink

uhh,, oka..

(MUSIC_X by (made by) ARTIST_X in (the music is in) ALBUM_X) fixed in svn

What file can i search about this part of the code (gui.c, panel.c)?

void resize_album_art_frame(struct con_win *cwin)
{
    if (cwin->album_art_frame)
        gtk_widget_set_size_request(GTK_WIDGET(cwin->album_art_frame),
                        ALBUM_ART_SIZE,
                        ALBUM_ART_SIZE);
}

This function this at the end of panel.c, and to change the size, change to the value  ALBUM_ART_SIZE in consonance.h and of compiling..

Calmly it is possible to be added in preferences... In todo list.. smile

http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 48#p537448
It is a problem. Also I happen to me.. I can fix, but files_browser must be rewritten of zero.. I was seeing it, and I would need much code that now I cannot do it.. I look for you will develop so that they help me in parts like these!! lol

If you change the volume by the whell in systray icon, the volume it's not update in the volume control on the window....? Yes... I am going it to fix.. tanks.. Edit 1: FIXED IN SVN

And tanks for the PKGBUILD...:)

PhotonX.. The same happens in xfce… will be necessary to fix it.. EDIT 2: ¿FIXED IN SVN? Please, Test. .. cool

Re: A new lightweight music manager

By the way if you guys ever need a native English speaker I'd be happy to help. I don't really know what I would contribute besides checking grammar. >_>

By the way the option I've wanted for a very long time in Consonance is the ability to hide the icon in the system tray. It's just extremely annoying and the icon doesn't match the more Tangoish icons there. If I knew enough C I would do this myself but I only know an average amount of C++.

New Wiki: http://pragha.wikispaces.com/

Please any bug that wants to inform, or wishlist in : http://pragha.wikispaces.com/Bugs

And first tarball: http://pragha.wikispaces.com/file/view/ … 6.0.tar.gz

The translation of the application follows slope (At any time), but did not want to advance in the development without changing the name...

NOTE: the configurations are compatible, But they are in HOME$/.config/pragha/
*  Copy  HOME$/.consonance/consonance to HOME$/.config/pragha/config and HOME$/.consonance/condb to HOME$/.config/pragha/pragha.db

Re: A new lightweight music manager

Hey!

Nice work!

Could you add additional parameters to get the artist/title/album/... currently playing?
I know that you can get everthing needed with consonance -c, but it would be handy to get the specific information right away, instead of all of it.

I had problems with this while wanting to show consonance information in conky - the result is a pretty bad script, since I don't want to meddle with bash string manipulation.
See here.

Thanks.

Same bug as in Consonance. High CPU usage (~20% on C2D) and returns to normal after pause/resume (~5-6%).

Re: A new lightweight music manager

Wiiiii... big_smile
...First translation in svn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! big_smile Spain big_smile

Excuse, to compile now is necessary install xfce-dev-tools (after many tests xfce-dev-tools gave the best results me!-)
  *   http://foo-projects.org/~benny/articles … ction.html

Please, translates to other languages, and improves my translation..

Surely next many translations would changes.. But it is a very good beginning...!! lol

Also there is a new menu in systemtray..!-), and they fixed some bugs. wink

Advice: (with fedora it works to me correctly, but I did not try in other distributions)
  *  They unload the new version from the SVN of zero (NOT UPDATE)
         *  svn checkout http://dissonance.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ pragha-svn
  *  Only when they compile this version correctly, eliminate the old installation (su --c 'make uninstall')
  *  And install

Tarball here: (It not need xfce-dev-tools)
http://code.google.com/p/dissonance/downloads/list

Re: A new lightweight music manager

Lyceuhns. After as much time, Welcome

he xfce-dev-tools is just to the svn version, right? YES

xfce-dev-tool, is used to generate ./configure now...

Tarball generated does not depend absolutely on xfce..

How can i translate???
  *  a mini howto: http://pragha.wikispaces.com/howto_translate

Hopefully it helps you... And adds your experience in the wiki...

High CPU usage: it was already discussed several times in the forum... and according to faq of the author:

Frequently Answered Questions
=============================
Q. Why the fsck does a freaking music player consume so much CPU ?
A. Use the HW device directly in ALSA (hw:0,0). The 'default' device
   is dmix which is setup with a samplerate of 48Khz while most tracks
   are in 44.1Khz samplerate. Resampling is cpu intensive. Using the HW
   device, bypassing the dmix plugin is the current workaround.
   Of course, you lose the advantages of dmix in the process.

neutral some defect must have... but it does not happen to me, and not like helping them..

Re: A new lightweight music manager

I forgot what i was to say, but wherever...

This is a translate that i have tried, well, works here. smile
Something that i couldn't change was the add button text at the library preferences (to add folder).

And a new thing, that the tray icon volume control is not setting volume up. =/
(svn version)

o/

Edit: Oh, and i saw the TODO about gstreamer. Please, listen to the anespor, and i'm with him: no gstreamer please. @_@

Re: A new lightweight music manager

Sorry for the delay, I've ended my last school year and now there was a ball.. But it's over now and I have much time for translating. But I didn't really understand the thing with xfce-dev-tools. Won't it work to just run ./autorun.sh && make && sudo make install?

Re: A new lightweight music manager

Tanks Lyceuhns.. Aggregate to svn.. big_smile

The button is standard. (it is defined as gtk_button_new_from_stock (GTK_STOCK_ADD)) and it is translated automatically by gtk..

So far, I prefer to maintain the translations simple.

PhotonX..

Yess...As always, ./autorun.sh && make && sudo make install...:D

But now within autogen.sh, it uses xdt-autogen (Part of xfce-dev-tools) instead of autoreconf..

xfce-dev-tools is necessary to install pragha from svn, but tarball, is completely independent...

They do not worry. They convinced to me. pragha would not use to gstreamer!!!!

=P

Here using the tray icon the volume just downs, and with the full volume, just a turn in the wheel gets the volume to 37%. o.o
Try it out.

Edit: I tested now, and saw that this only happens if it's not using software mixer.

Re: A new lightweight music manager

Last chance:
Go preferences and disable software mixer
Restart
(Are you using alsa)
Play a music
Have sure that the volume is full (over the icon sound), it's all right?
Now get down the sound in the tray icon, just on level
(did? now over the icon sound, see how many percents have down?)
now, try to raise the volume in the tray icon
(did it? well, me not =/)
But it's ok, i always use software mixer anyway. =p

In the terminal nothing is showed.
Just this, every time that i open the window (from the tray):

(pragha:5453): snyder-WARNING **: (toogle_main_window): Unable to show OSD notification

I don't use notification-daemon self, i'm using noteo (no gnome dep) that provides notification-daemon, and i have OSD. neutral

Oh, i'm so happy with the cover resize. Thanks a lot man, but now i have to reward you. ;D

But not at all are flowers on life, resizing have breaking a little the layout, i was think if something like this, wouldn't be better. Sorry, i just edited a screenshot, i don't know edit the interface, and i'm not a programmer or something like this (me sucks >.<), but i think that this way let expand the cover with break (a little) the panel layout, resizing a little the progress bar and the input form bellow. Going to be like this, i don't know if it's going to me nice, edit images is not the same of edit code. See what you think and if is viable.

Tarball not yet, you don't put the new "resize album art" dialog in the translations lines. big_smile

I think is this.
Thanks at all. o/

Re: A new lightweight music manager

ok...
Now if I could reproduce the error..:)
But before it did not happen? the system of audio does not modify anything.. I review now it..  wink

It adds the translations... "Tamanho da arte do álbum" in Portuguese.. is correct?

(pragha:5453): snyder-WARNING **: (toogle_main_window): Unable to show OSD notification???
It was not any error. It used them to debug the code while it developed systemtray.... Fixed..

in svn, the change of size Improves much...Now it makes a preview while it modifies the value of the size..

While it developed, it noticed an increase in the use of the memory.. I surpass 40mb while it tried. But now it works normally to 8.1mb.. Please.. Test!

The erroneous disposition of the panel, was neat, but it was not in svn. stranger, but fixes already it..
