I use songbird to listen to music and the latest release (1.2) doesn't start, it appears to be a gstreamer bug that has been reported but not solved. So I am trying to downgrade to version 1.12, but I don't have the old package build and I can't just modify the latest package build because I don't know the filepath (and I can't figure it out) online. I tried using the svn songbird package, but syncing is not working very well. I am wondering if there is a way to obtain an old pkgbuild or package.

The link is for downgrading official packages (core, extra, etc), not packages from AUR. Songbird (surprisingly) isn't popular enough to be in the community repo. A new package version is in now in AUR, which involves recompiling gstreamer-python, and songbird now works agaoin.

you can "fix" that issue by removing gstreamer0.10-python which worked for me(remember to delete .songbird2 first).
edit: oops! didn't see that last post..

I "fixed" the problem by uploading an older version of gstreamer0.10-python called "gstreamer0.10-python-songbird" that conflicts and provides gstreamer0.10-python=0.10.14
Everything works in my system, and I hope it does work for you too ![]()

Thats exactly what I did and it worked for me as well. Thank you for adopting the package, I heavily really on songbird for my music needs. The only thing I noticed during the upgrade is that there is no songbird icon in the main menu or in gnome-do, I'm not sure if its a package thing or upstream.

I made a mistake while re-writing the PKGBUILD. Tell me if the latest version works ![]()
