Intel GM945 / Kernel 2.6.30 / KMS makes hibernation not work

Hi,

KMS doesn't work well with hibernation on my PC. The PC wakes up ok, but the display is often borked and I can't login, even from a console.

I'd like to know if I'm the only one with these problems, or if these are to be expected since KMS is still quite new. Is there something  I can do to fix it? Should I file a bug? Where?

Thanks!

I have similar problem with suspend to ram. My Gnome often logs me out after resuming system. I think it's regressions in X server, intel driver or kernel. I haven't tried those packages from testing so far, but maybe they could fix issues with power management.

I'll probably wait a little more to see if it's fixed in the next version of these packages.

I've just tried it again with the new versions of the xserver and intel-dri. It seems to work a bit better, but I still can't wake up from hibernation when more than one user is logged in graphically.
