My Lxde looks broken

Hi all

I am a absolute beginner. Just installed arch+lxde on an old laptop for experiment. After struggling through installation, my desktop now looks like... well... crap (for now at least)...

I wonder how I can find out what packages to install to fix its look.

My problem so far would include.

1. I have a few "dead link" logo on my desktop. Including one on where the system clock should be. What's up with that?
2. I need a graphic property manager, or sound manager
3. My mouse cursor would occasionally disappear, and even if it appears it is just a black cross. I need to download a better theme, just don't know which one is called what...

I have many problems ahead of me. I would also like to get the S-Video port working eventually as well.

some help please?

Re: My Lxde looks broken

LXDE does not include or load by default a window manager. You should start one. The one recommended for LXDE is Openbox.

Re: My Lxde looks broken

correction: lxde uses openbox as it's window manager.

Yes, but for some reason, Openbox is no longer part of the lxde-group (try an pacman -Sg on that).
So nowadays, you have to install openbox seperately (I didn't understand this decision either ...)

cat /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/config
