Cpu scaling through cpufreq applet.

Hi there.
I saw somewhere, that it is possible to change cpu governor and frequency with gnome cpufreq applet. I'm using userspace governor, but neither gnome cpufreq applet nor xfce4-cpufreq-plugin allow me to do that, but both shows me info about current cpu status, xfce4-cpufreq-plugin shows me even available governors and frequency, but I can't change them from there.
Is there something more, than just to set userspace governor to achieve this feature?

Is your user already member of the 'power' group? Don't forget to logout and login again...

Re: Cpu scaling through cpufreq applet.

Have you granted the permission for your user to change CPU frequency in policykit? Use that "Authorizations" setup app in gnome preferences menu.
