I use oss-linux-free as the sound on my laptop here, but I cannot get hydrogen to cooperate with it. I've read on hydrogen's documentation that it uses OSS by default, but when I try to start hydrogen in the terminal with the oss driver, here's what happens:
[ken@kensx2 ~]$ hydrogen -d oss

OK, if no one is replying...this looks like an issue with ladspa. I tried installing some of the ladspa plugins but this did not help one bit. Maybe the ladspa package is compiled only for ALSA support?
