{SOLVED}Enabling Wireless Card

I am trying to enable my wireless to work in arch.  How would I go about doing this?  It is an intel 3945 card, when I go to pacman to install the driver ipw3945 it is telling me it is not in the repos?

Re: {SOLVED}Enabling Wireless Card

Hi, welcome to the forums.  I have the same card, and the ipw3945 package was recently deprecated and replaced by a different one.  If you run this command (you don't even need to be root):

pacman -Ss 3945

Pacman will search the database of available packages for "3945," and it will tell you that the current 3945 package is iwlwifi-3945-ucode (I had forgotten and had to search too).  Get to know pacman thoroughly--you'll need this and other tricks many times.

Thanks so much for the reply.  I did some searching around and found the package you mentioned.  I have it installed and wireless is working perfectly now.  Thanks alot!
