@silvernode: That must be from a sync in progress or a aborted sync on this mirror.
smbclient is version 3.2.7-1, which enters extra today (Mi 14 Jan 2009 08:39:26 CET). So this mirror may have not fully synced. Switch temporary to an other (do a pacman -Syy after) or wait until tomorrow.

I see what you mean. Guess I will just have to wait until they sync the new package. Figures it would be added when I decide to reinstall arch.

The xorg-fonts-100dpi package seems to be corrupted on ftp.nluug.nl, has been noticed in november 2007 but it seems this hasn't changed yet..

For 2 days now the soprano package has been inaccessible from every mirror I tried... So I couldn't try out KDE 4.2. What's up with that?
arch(3) adj amused because you think you understand something better than other people ;P

I just tested downloading soprano for both i686 and x86_64 and both worked. Either you didn't try enough mirrors or your database/connection has issues.
Start a new thread and post the error messages that you get when trying to download it. Also, try "pacman -Syy", it might resolve the issue.

The actual link for the umflint.edu repo is:
Server = http://archlinux.umflint.edu/$repo/os/i686
in my mirrorlist, it's listed as:
Server = http://archlinux.umflint.edu/mirrors/archlinux/$repo/os/i686

archlinux.c3sl.ufpr.br
mirror appears to be missing the "unrar-3.8.5-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz" file.

The mirror
appears to be not synced, i haven't had updates for 5 days, i am using a german server know. 900 mb updateds

Sorry for the delay, i got not noticed of your posts...
I could do nearly nothing on individual not synced packages.
@Demoniac: i will write a mail to the admins if the could remove the file.
Also the file mentioned by DarkForte...
@MarCustomized: I will write a bugreport so that this gets changed in pacman-mirrorlist
@Jelly: Seems to be synced now...
Info:
Many mirrors are outdated since last days, this comes from the 2009.02 iso sync, also many of our Mirros also offers Debian which stressed them too...

Do you have any rules regarding using FTP or HTTP for a mirror?
Take for example the new mirror klid.dk. You can access their files through FTP as well as HTTP, but in the mirrorlist the mirror is accessed through FTP. Wouldn't it make more sense to use HTTP to avoid potential firewall issues?
I raise this issue because I'm behind a quite restrictive firewall, which doesn't allow (unencrypted) FTP. Changing the mirror to HTTP fixes the issue:
Server = ftp://ftp.klid.dk/archlinux/$repo/os/i686
Server = http://ftp.klid.dk/ftp/archlinux/$repo/os/i686

@Kenni:
No there is no preference of a protocol from archlinux side. Traditionally in the "early days" one could do file transfer only via ftp. Today most mirrors offers both http and ftp protocol. Use what best fits your local envionment.
@sneilan
Current unzip version is 6.0-4, and these version is available on the mirrors. You should update your package database: pacman -Syi unzip should show 6.0.-4. To be at last clear with your active mirror do a: pacman -Syy to force renew the database.
//Edit: To give a status on current mirror situation:
ATM ftp.ibiblio.org has not synced since ~3 days. So many US mirrors are also outdated.
I'll sent a mail today later to ibiblio admins.

@GerBra
Do you check your forum email? I sent you a message a while ago but never got a reply.
If it got spam-filtered, send me a message so I can reply to that.

Current problems on some US+CA+EU mirrors:
Last week ibiblio mirror was outdated - and so many US+CA mirrors when they sync from ibiblio. At last we have some mirror which are not synced although ibiblio is fine again. I wrote yesterday a mail to the admin, so we wait for an response or an action.
Affected mirrors (all have same lastsync time):
ftp://mirror.rit.edu/archlinux
ftp://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/archlinux
ftp://ftp.ds.hj.se/pub/os/linux/archlinux
ftp://mirrors.portafixe.com/archlinux
http://mirrors.gigenet.com/archlinux
http://mirror.twilightlair.net/arch
I hope this will be fixed next days. Meanwhile it's the best to temporary switch to an up-to-date mirror next to your location.

Sadly, at the moment there are more out of sync mirrors than in sync ones

No, we have 80-20=60 synced mirror ;-)
And most of the not-synced-since1-day are relative to their timezone.
You're right for north american continent....

US+CA+EU outdated mirrors
Have send a second mail to the admins of the affected mirrors.
CA http://mirror.twilightlair.net/arch is back in sync.
Open US/CA/EU mirrors (synced all last at Tue Jun 30 13:01:53 UTC 2009):
ftp://mirror.rit.edu/archlinux
ftp://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/archlinux

ftp://mirrors.portafixe.com/archlinux

ftp://mirror.rit.edu/archlinux is synced again ;-)

And with mirror.rit.edu now also the other affected mirrors are synced again.

Another massive out-of-sync "explosion" of US+EU mirrors.
Seems to be related with huge transfer during the libjpeg update.
So when doing currently a -Syu make sure you use an synced mirror to avoid getting not only the new libjpeg, but also other new packages which depend on libjpeg...
And if you switch a mirror: Don't forget to do a pacman -Syy

(US/CA) We still have some outdated mirrors. Not sure if the problem is on mirror side (stale rsync jobs) or that the sync from rsync.archlinux.org is still "running" since some days... I will sent a mail to all this evening (a mail to admin from rit.edu is already sent)
New mirrors:
(Germany) New mirror at mirrors2.portafixe.com (ftp,http)
And first mirror in India:
(India) New mirror at mirror.cse.iitk.ac.in (ftp,http)

Hi, I manage mirrors.portafixe.com and mirrors2.portafixe.com
I was syncing from uwaterloo, yesterday from rit.edu but seems both were out of sync.
Changed my script to sync from umoss.org
Both mirrors should be fixed within 1h
