[Solved] Switch to Kernel 2.6.28 - Series

Hello All,
I am new to Arch Linux and Pacman. I recently installed Arch Linux with current 2.6.30 series kernel. However, due some issues with the Proprietary Cisco VPN module with 2.6.29 and above, I need to move to an previous kernel (ARCH64).

The "Downgrading Instructions" on the Wiki are not useful because I did not have a previous version of the kernel installed on my machine.

Is there a way to install the older version of kernel?

My apologies if this has been documented at an obvious location.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes there is. You can check the CVS online for the PKGBUILD and related files (hopefully patches too) and build it from source. Might take some time but I don't think there's gonna be a lot of mirrors around with 2.6.28 on it, although I do know there are quite a few mirrors out there that sync rather slowly.
