IM client for Openbox?

Hi all

I'm looking for a decent IM client to use within Openbox - Pidgin wants to pull in half of Gnome it seems and I'm not willing to let it!

The mind roams more freely in empty rooms.
dwm - colours - ncmpcpp - system

Re: IM client for Openbox?

Depends on the IM network you use. I'm using mcabber, which isn't graphical but sufficient nonetheless (using jabber with transports, btw). You could also try centericq (CLI), psi (if it is called that, can't remember correctly I think), qip, or one of countless others.

EDIT:

wiki::Screen, Irssi, Bitlbee

Huh?  Are you sure?  I have Pidgin installed, and there are no GNOME dependencies.
