how to install several versions of a package simultaneously?

hello, I'm needing python2.5 for a few things but I don't want to downgrade my default python instead I would like to have both, the one from the repos as the default and the old one invoked as python2.5 any tips on how to do that? I've found an old package of python on the rollback machine but it conflicts with the current and I don't see any pacman options to install it as something else.
