2.2009 not booting

I have put the live-image on a usb-stick as told on the installation manual.
When i boot from it it loads the kernel up until it detects the usb-devices.
It detects them fine but from there on it does not continue the boot-process nor offer me a prompt.
This happens with both the sata or non-sata bootup.

Hardware is a all-intel core-duo thinkpad (x60t)

Re: 2.2009 not booting

Where did the boot process stop ? What was the last stdout/stderr message ?

Does the problem exist with hard disk/ cd installation mode too ? Did you check the downloaded usb image according to the md5sums ?

How did you write it to the usb media, with dd ?

Have you followed this instruction:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … _USB_stick  ?
