2.6.30 and hibernate

hi all,

after upgrading to 2.6.30 i cannot hibernate anymore.
the screen turns black and that's it. nothing else happens.
i have an amd x2 4850e on a asus m3a-h/hdmi mainboard.
i found smth similar on similar hw here: http://lkml.org/lkml/2009/6/11/392,
but i do not know much about this, so i cannot go further...
it seems to be a acpi/irq issue with 2core cpus.
before hibernating i tried this

echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/online

and it almost worked. but resuming failed due to mouse and keyboard freezing.

acpi=off

worked, but cpufreq didn't worked anymore. so no win.

any suggestions?
vlad

ps: once again. i had a similar cpu issue with 2.6.28. i added

hpet=disable

to the kernel boot parameters and it seems to work now.
really annoying that this happens every two kernel versions...

Re: 2.6.30 and hibernate

What utilities do you use for hibernate and suspend?? Because what I've seen in my system is that for some reason I need to reinstall pm-utils in order to have it correctly working. What I remember is that I usually reinstall pm-utils and restart my system, after that everything works well again.
