Hey Archers
I am fixing up my sister eee pc 1000. It has been running on acpi-eee 901 module. Most things working fine expect turning wireless on and off.
So anyway I read the forums and installed the acpi-eee-generic. No I can turn wireless on and off but I have completely loss sound.
this is my rc.conf at the moment
MODULES=(eeepc-laptop fuse atl1e rt2860sta snd-mixer-oss snd-pcm-oss snd-hwdep snd-page-alloc snd-pcm snd-timer snd snd-hda-intel !snd-pcsp soundcore vboxdrv vboxnetflt)
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs @crond @samba acpid sensors dbus @hal @alsa cpufreq @wicd @kdm)
Any Help would be cool
Cheers

I would first start with using
MOD_AUTOLOAD="yes"
MODULES=()
To see what works. It looks like yours will be ok, but its easy to check.
If that scares you, at least try removing eeepc-laptop.

Hey Cheer for the post
I can confirm that I have autoload set to yes
Removing the eeepc-laptop module does nothing at all regretably
What is the best way for me to indentify what alsa issue is ?

Ah, also (at least with my 1000HE) try running alsamixer. If you have an item named iSpeaker, toggle the state of that to see if you can get sound after that.
running alsaconf will try to set things up for you as well.

I don't understand what happened, I have already used alsamixer and ispeaker wasn't on mute. But I toggle mute on and off (was just fiddling around) suddenly ispeak appeared in kmixer on mute, so I unmuted it everything is fine
Cheers Man
