I've been going through and finding adium message themes that work with the pidgin webkit plugin. Maybe this will be useful to someone. And if anyone would like to contribute, that would be great.
Pidgin version: 2.5.8-1
Pidgin-webkit: 69-1
Works:
Adium Matte http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=x … ra_id=4987

I didn't even know this existed until just now.
I love it! But for some reason, no icons will show up with the pidgin-facebookchat plugin. I have a feeling it's unrelated though...
I know this is kind of off-topic now but this was the problem http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-faceboo … 20Modified
svn fixed it. Now the Adium themes look sweet ![]()

Haha. Yeah, I was excited when I first heard about this too. It makes pidgin just about perfect. Now If only there were voice and video chat support....

Unfortunately, it seems that it is no longer being developed: https://launchpad.net/pidgin-webkit/+announcement/2507
Last commit was done in november 2008

From the looks of it here, they may be making it part of Pidgin itself. I'm not sure, though. I do really like this plugin.

I don't see why it would be hard integrating webkit with pidgin... adium is open source, uses libpurple and they should be able to get it working fine ... If people are worried about bloat they could always have a pidgin light version...

Why would they include it in pidgin itself? IMO it's better of as an "official" plugin so that it is optional.
edit:
I just read that article and now I see. If webkit is implemented, it will replace the way messages are viewed altogether. I still think it's a neat feature ![]()
