Kernel panic - not syncing. 2.6.30.1-1

Hello all.

After a fresh install of Arch yesterday I ended up with the basics on my machine from a FTP install, and I started getting my usual packages: alsa, xorg, gnome, firefox etc. After I got everything installed, I added alsa, hal, fam, gdm to MODULES in rc.conf like I've been used to. But then, after a reboot, I get the following message during boot:

...
Starting Hardware Abstraction Layer [BUSY]
Kernel panic - not syncing: stack-protector: Kernel stack is corrupted in: c033c8bd

This does not seem to be the same problem as http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=74622, since I got my rt61 wireless card working just fine for me before installing xorg and gnome.

I now have no way of accessing my GNU/Linux HDD, since I cannot boot it (except for LiveCD basically).

Anybody experienced the same thing? Should I file a bug report to Arch/upstream?

Cheers smile
