[SOLVED]How to change non root users password

I am trying to log into my freshly finished arch install.  But when the gdm comes up and I try to log in with my username and passwork it wont let me log in because I am not typing the right password in.  How do I change this using the root account? Is it even possible?

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
