chromium https proxy problem

Hi, I have problem with chromium browser (chromium-snapshot package) and chromium builds on arch linux x86_64.

I'm behind a proxy, so I need to have $http_proxy and $https_proxy env variables set.
HTTPS pages (except from the simplest ones) load so slowly, that I can say they do not load at all.. e.g. https://mail.google.com or https://www.cia.gov.

I have described the problem on the chromium issue 14539 thread.

Other browsers like firefox and opera work.. and the older chromium builds (rel. 16xxx) work as expected.

I wonder if there's someone experiencing the same issue.

Re: chromium https proxy problem

Can't it be an issue with this version? Is there any bugreport with it in the official site ?

Chromium is in such early develepment that You should be quite sure that not everything is working fine. Just report the bug and look out for updates.

Re: chromium https proxy problem

I sorta have a similar problem.

Whenever I visit a https site, chromium crashes with a 'segmentation fault', I don't even get to load the page. I have just figured out that up until build 16844, I don't have this problem.

Wonder if the two issues are related?

Tadzik has right. Chromium is in such early develepment that You should be quite sure that not everything is working fine.

Btw, segmentation fault, you can detect which function/calling causes it with gdb/backtrace, if you build it with debug informations.
