I just installed devede, and it updated a few other packages on my pc,
when ever i would try to run programs from terminal, i would get an error saying it cannot find library libreadline.so.5
i tried a reboot, and no my system wont boot, because that library is needed for /bin/sh
howw do i fix this?
Thanks Markp1989

How did you do that ?
Did you fully upgrade your system first ?
pacman -Syyu

i just installed devede and mandvd (pacman -S mandvd devede) to make a dvd, and after i installed that i started having problems running programs, so i tried a reboot.
im in the middle of making a bootable disk image, so i can reinstall bash as http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=579589 this thread suggests.
