Hmm I don't know if this has any relevance at all but I also did the kauke scriptlets by Xyne.Maybe you can install xdotool and also try this and then see if it works? tongue

Have you tried this:

~]$ urxvtc -bl

Works perfectly here. No need to modify rc.xml

I've tried everything in this thread.  And what's weird is it works fine on my desktop.  I wonder if I stuffed up somewhere while installing Openbox.  Should I get all the latest versions from AUR or something instead f the repos?

This is going to sound out there but I have issues with urxvt on two computers where if I set it to use false transparency, it has focus issues with my window manager.  If you are using transparency in your setup, try removing it and see if you get any different results.
