Hi,
I am a LInux Newbie and have been using Ubuntu for a a few months now. Quite interested in Arch and was thinking of taking the plunge. Could you please tell me if OpenOffice exists for Arch...or is there an alternative that helps open and edit Microsoft office documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
Cheers

Yes, OpenOffice is in the Arch repositories, if that is what you mean by "OpenOffice for Arch". You can install it with a simple
# pacman -S openoffice-base

Thanks a lot, guys. 2 replies in less than 10 minutes. Thats brilliant community support. Definitely installing Arch.

Nice Make sure to check out the ArchWiki: I think you'll find it to be very informative and extensive!
