I was trying to speed up my boot process yesterday.
but, there is a problem that xorg starts slow.

it hangs before it starts.
what should I do?

I don't think you can improve that, 7 seconds for a complete bootup is already good enough.

Are you starting a lot of stuff in .xinitrc? I "sleep"ed everything there for a sec and my X startup feels faster. I haven't backed this up with a bootchart or scientific proof yet.
